MISSION
STATEMENT:

The Fremont County Coroner's Office is committed to providing independent, quality death investigation using advanced forensic science with compassion and objectivity for surviving families, communities, and public health agencies; working collaboratively to reduce preventable deaths.

Erin was appointed as a Deputy Coroner in 2003, and completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Crime Scene Investigation/Forensic Science in 2011. Ms. Ivie is nationally certified as a Medicolegal Death Investigator by the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators, is a member of the International Association of Bloodstain Pattern Analysts (IABPA), is a General Section member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS), recognized by the International Association for Identification (IAI) as a Medicolegal Death Investigator, and is a member of the Society of Medicolegal Death Investigators (SOMDI). In addition to her national associations, she is recognized by Wyoming Peace Officers Standards and Training as a General Lecturer and teaches regularly at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy. Erin also serves as a Medicolegal Death Investigator for the Region 8 Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team (DMORT), and attended training with the Office of the New York City Chief Medical Examiner. Erin has over 1,700 hrs. of training in her respective field, and was appointed to the position of Fremont County Coroner on 11/1/22.

Tony has been with Fremont County Coroner’s Office since November 2017 where he fulfilled the roll of Operations Deputy, and was appointed Chief Deputy in 2022.  Tony has lived in Wyoming since 2011, and is proud to call Hudson his home. He is a graduate of CWC’s Outdoor Education Program and has a background in Wilderness Medicine and First Response.  In 2020, Tony earned his national certification as a Medicolegal Death Investigator through the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators (ABMDI) and became a member of the International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners (IACME) in 2021. Tony very much enjoys living in Wyoming and spends most of his time backpacking and fishing in the mountains or shooting at the range. He feels very privileged to live in such a beautiful area and considers it an honor to serve our community.

Kirsten joined the Fremont County Coroner office in December of 2022. Kirsten moved to Fremont County at the beginning of 2022. She has been a Wyoming resident since 1998 and is originally from the greater Chicagoland area. Kirsten has been a licensed BLS/ALS EMT for the past 10 years in Wyoming. Kirsten enjoys spending time with her family, camping whenever she can, and equestrian activities. She is excited to start her career as Deputy Coroner to further serve the community of Fremont County.
